Our Bathroom Remodeling Process
Six steps from the first conversation to the final walkthrough, so you know what happens and when.
- Step 1
Initial consultation
We start with a conversation about the bathroom: who uses it, what fails daily, and what you want the finished room to do. Photos help, and so does a rough sense of budget range, because it shapes which options are worth discussing.
- Step 2
On-site review and measurements
Measuring the room is only part of this visit. We look at plumbing locations, floor construction, ventilation, wall conditions, door swing and clearances. These details decide whether a layout change is straightforward or involved.
- Step 3
Scope and written estimate
You receive a written scope covering demolition, preparation, waterproofing, tile, installation, fixtures and finish work, with the assumptions stated. If something cannot be known until walls open, it is called out rather than buried.
- Step 4
Material selection
Tile, grout, vanity, countertop, faucets, valves, toilet, glass, lighting and hardware are chosen before demolition begins. Selecting early avoids schedule gaps and keeps the design coherent instead of assembled piece by piece.
- Step 5
Construction
Work runs in sequence: protection and demolition, plumbing and electrical rough-in, backer board and waterproofing, tile, vanity and countertop, glass, fixtures, paint and trim. Waterproofing is inspected before tile covers it.
- Step 6
Final walkthrough
We review the finished bathroom together, note anything that needs correction, and go over care for the tile, grout, glass and fixtures so the finishes stay in good condition.
During construction
What to Expect While Work Is Underway
Living around a bathroom project is easier when the routine is predictable.
Work areas are protected, demolition debris is removed rather than stored on site, and the bathroom is left in a safe condition at the end of each working day.
The bathroom itself is out of service for the duration. If it is the only full bathroom in the home, that is worth planning for before the start date.
Changes mid-project are possible, but they affect sequence and schedule. The earlier a change is raised, the less it disrupts.
